What is the best dessert for a hot summer day or night? Ice cream will definitely be at the top of the favorites list! Especially if it’s my Unicorn Ice Cream which is made with four different flavors; coconut, lemon, strawberry and vanilla. It was our favorite in the house this summer, for both adults and children. It looks super pretty and is delicious. You can ask your children to decorate it with some meringues or sprinkles.
Let’s prepare my unicorn ice cream!
INGREDIENTS
- 600ml heavy cream (35% M.F)
- 300ml condensed milk
- Food colours (blue, yellow, pink, purple)
- Food flavors (coconut, lemon, strawberry, vanilla)
- Edible glitter
DIRECTIONS
- In a big bowl whip the cream with a hand mixer.
- Add condensed milk little by little and use a spatula moving up and down but not mixing the cream anymore.
- Separate the cream into 4 different bowls (because Iām going to do 4 different flavors, but you can separate as much flavor as you want to do).
- In this case I put blue and coconut in the first bowl, yellow and lemon in the second, pink and strawberry in the third and purple and vanilla in the fourth one.
- Start pouring the ice cream one by one with a big spoon without mixing too much. And put on some glitter sometimes.
- When all the colors are done just take an ice cream stick and move to try to mix a little bit.
- Cover with a food plastic wrap and touch the ice cream so it wonāt crystallize and introduce it into the freezer minimum 8h, or over the night.
