An ice cream sandwich is a delightful frozen treat that brings together two delicious components: ice cream and cookies. It typically consists of a layer of ice cream, often flavored with a variety of options such as vanilla, chocolate, or even unique combinations like mint chocolate chip, sandwiched between two soft and chewy cookies. The cookies can be chocolate wafers, sugar cookies, or even brownies. Ice cream sandwiches are a beloved dessert that provides a perfect balance of creamy, cold ice cream and the comforting texture of cookies, making them a favorite indulgence for people of all ages.
This ice cream has become my husband’s favorite, every time I make it they disappear in a flash and I’m not surprised because they’re addictive. By the way, after taking the photos they disappeared, so this weekend I have to prepare more and leave them stored in the freezer in a container or one by one on transparent paper.
INGREDIENTS
- 200ml cream (35% MG)
- 100ml condensed milk
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 8 or 12 cookies of your choice
- a little warm milk
DIRECTIONS
- Whip the cold cream.
- Now add the condensed milk little by little and moving with a spatula
- Finally the vanilla is added.
- Line the container where we are going to do it with baking paper.
- We dip the cookies in the milk and form a layer of cookies in the mold.
- We put the ice cream part on top of the cookies.
- We dip the other cookies in the milk and try to put them on top of the ice cream and match the ones below.
- We cover it with the skin (touching it) with transparent paper and take it to the freezer for about 8 hours or until the next day.
- When frozen, remove from the mold and cut with a knife in the shape of the cookie so that the cream sandwiches remain.
- Ready to eat and enjoy.
- They can be stored in a closed glass container or individually, wrapping them in transparent paper and leaving them in the freezer until we are going to consume them.
