Natillas

Natillas

Natillas are a typical Spanish dessert, which you can find in all bars and restaurants, they are also in all supermarkets in the yogurt section. They are very rich and everyone likes them.

INGREDIENTS

  • 600ml milk
  • 3 eggs
  • 60g sugar
  • 12g cornstarch
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • Maria biscuits optional
  • optional cinnamon

DIRECTIONS

  1. We can infuse the milk to give it a more intense flavor, but this step is totally optional, and we can skip it. We heat the milk with a cinnamon stick and if we have any orange or lemon skin for about 5 minutes over medium heat and stirring. After the time has elapsed, it is removed from the heat and left covered for about 10 or 15 minutes.
  2. In a saucepan and with the heat turned off, add the sugar and cornstarch and mix a little, then add the eggs, beat a little and the milk and vanilla and put over medium low heat, and stir , move move, first with some rods and then with a spatula.
  3. The custards take a long time to make because the longer it takes to make them the smoother to creamier they come out.
  4. Once they are a little curdled, they are put in our little glasses and a Maria biscuit is placed on top. And we take them to the fridge until they are cold, before eating we can sprinkle a little cinnamon.
