Lava/Volcano Cake

Delicious Lava Cake

This is a match made in heaven, a delicious combination of hot chocolate and cold ice cream, eaten when the chocolate cake is hot and the ice cream is cold! Once you put a scoop of your favorite ice cream on the top of the cake, you will literally see why we call it a Lava Cake as a hot stream of ice cream lava will start to move down with pieces of molten chocolate cake rock with it! And, once you taste it! What do you think your mouth will feel when the hot chocolate cake and the cold ice cream touch your taste bud! It will feel like it is in heaven!

The Lava Cake or Molten Chocolate Cake was first invented in France; although it is disputed that it was first invented in New York! Argument on the origin aside, this is a chocolate and ice cream dessert that is loved by all, young and not young, chocolate lover or not, in summer or in winter months.

The cake can be decorated and made tastier with your favorite delicacies like scoop of ice cream, sauce, powdered sugar, mint leaves or even with coffee dust to satisfy your cravings and creativity. I personally prefer a scoop of vanilla ice cream on the top of the cake.
